About Us
Inspiring Female Leaders of Tomorrow
The Collegiate Association of Women in Business (WIB) is the largest female professional organization within Baruch College.
WIB is specifically geared towards the undergraduate population, as it promotes the professional and personal development of young students. In 2005, Women in Business was established with the fundamental idea of creating an avenue for women to empower themselves in the business world. WIB has come a long way since 2005, and we are proud to have been acknowledged by Baruch College as the Most Outstanding Organization for two consecutive years (2009-2011).
Our Mission
The Collegiate Association of Women in Business (WIB) was established in 2005 with the fundamental idea of creating an avenue for women to empower themselves in the business world. Our mission is to provide young women with the skills, resources, motivation, and training necessary to become successful leaders in the business world. We seek to empower our members, encourage them to develop, and inspire them to undertake challenges, both personal and professional.
Our Core Values
1
Mentorship
As a Women in Business prospective member, you will be guided and advised informally in every step you take. As an inducted member, you will be able to be mentored formally through WIB's premiere mentorship program, ATHENA.
2
Meritocracy
Women in Business provides its members with a host positions to apply for. Whether you choose to apply to be a research assistant within the Events Committee, or to apply to be the next Vice President of Marketing, you will hold the position that you have earned through your work and potential.
3
Mobility
One of the unique features of Women in Business is the multitude of opportunities available within our organization. Within just one semester, a prospective member may hold two positions, and eventually go on to hold even more. Wherever effort, commitment, and ingenuity are showcased, they will be rewarded within WIB.
